Hello everyone, my name is Shawn Welling and I’m a filmmaker with over 20 films under my belt. I’m reaching out to you today because SAG-AFTRA has an election coming up for the Houston - Austin Local, and I want to ask everyone to support Nick Nicholson in his candidacy.

Nick has been on the Houston - Austin Board for two terms now, and in that time he’s done a remarkable job increasing awareness of SAG-AFTRA and the importance of making films under the Union monitor.

Not only has Nick helped me with bringing funding to some of my pictures, Nick also convinced me of the importance of using Union actors in my films. Without Nick’s education, guidance, and encouragement I would have never made the switch to SAG-AFTRA pictures.

Nick has done a great job in the Houston - Austin Local. He doesn’t just talk about what needs to be done - he does it.

If you want someone on the Board that is Nationally known, and has the contacts and connections to continue helping improve the job situation here in South Texas, then Nick is the man you should be voting for. It’s for that reason I ask you to support Nick Nicholson for SAG-AFTRA, Houston - Austin Board.
